The third series two orbiter and the final orbiter to start construction. Build started no earlier than 1986 and stopped in 1989.

After the 4K and 5K orbiters were cancelled, there were plans to divide 5K into segments and turn it into a training model for the neutral buoyancy pool at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center to support crewed Buran flights but the plans never materialised. The orbiter’s right wing was used to assemble the Gorky Park/VDNKh model. The remaining segments were most likely scrapped in Autumn 1995.
